At Stanford, we learned to listen. To "get out of the building," know our customers in their own environment and experience their challenges. That became the cornerstone of FLIP, guiding us to create innovative solutions that truly meet the needs of those we serve.

Our story

The journey that led us to revolutionize fleet operations

Realizing the problem

US Air Force Fleet Maintainers came to Stanford’s Hacking For Defense program seeking help to streamline their logistics and maintenance challenges for extensive vehicle fleets. We engaged with over 250 fleet maintainers across 30+ Air Force Bases, understanding their daily struggles.

Curating a team to deliver solution

This firsthand insight drove us to assemble a diverse team of researchers, professors, veterans, and Machine Learning experts to equip the Air Force with predictive maintenance analytics for improved mission readiness.

Expanding to commercial fleets

We realized FLIP’s core technology could also be used to drive sustainability, fuel efficiency and electrification on commercial fleets.

Fostering an ecosystem of innovators

We've partnered with Stanford's TomKat Center for Sustainable Energy, and a team of AI researchers at the Catholic University of America to expand to municipalities, and commercial fleets, cementing our commitment to a sustainable, tech-driven future.

We believe that the war of the future is all going to be about autonomous vehicles, better intelligence and anticipating every situation. Predictive maintenance and AI are going to have a critical role in future conflicts and we want to help modernize the tech stack of the DoD to maintain continued unmatched strategic deterrence,
